James Stapley is an ichthyologist with a talent for information technology. He has provided IT support and a wide range of services that loosely fall into the category of “communications” to the South African Institute of Aquatic Biodiversity, the East Coast Fish Watch project and the African Coelacanth Ecosystem Programme. James was responsible for setting up the infrastructure of ASCLME project’s coordination unit in Grahamstown and will continue to maintain the PCU’s ICT and communications infrastructure. He is also responsible for the development and hosting of the ASCLME project website. James has an Honours degree in Marine Biology from the University of Wales, Bangor.
